Velocity Hub
Community Activities and Social Programs
Social connection is not an add-on to disability support. It is central to mental health, personal growth, and everyday happiness. Velocity Hub is our dedicated recreational activity centre where NDIS participants come together for structured programs, creative workshops, fitness activities, life skills sessions, and community events in a welcoming, fully supported environment.
Unlike generic community access outings, Velocity Hub offers a consistent space where participants build genuine friendships, develop new skills, and set their own social and recreational goals with the support of experienced staff who know them well.
Programs and Activities at Velocity Hub
Velocity Hub runs a rotating calendar of group and individual programs designed by participants and staff together.
Activities include:
- Art, craft, and creative expression workshops
- Fitness, movement, and wellbeing sessions
- Cooking and nutrition classes
- Life skills and personal development programs
- Music, sensory, and relaxation activities
- Social events, celebrations, and themed days
- Community excursions and group outings
- Volunteering and civic participation projects
What Makes Velocity Hub Different
Designed by Participants, for Participants
The program calendar is shaped by participant feedback and interests. If a group wants a photography class or a weekly walking group, we make it happen.
A Safe Space to Build Confidence
For participants who find mainstream community settings overwhelming, Velocity Hub provides a low-pressure, supportive starting point to rebuild social confidence at their own pace.
Staffed by People Who Know You
Velocity Hub is supported by workers who are part of the broader Velocity team. They know participants personally and can tailor activities to individual preferences and support needs.
A Pathway to Broader Community Access
Velocity Hub is not a destination. It is a launchpad. As participants build confidence and social skills, we support them to transition into mainstream community groups, clubs, and activities.
